These Indices are also being developed as a fully interactive searchable database based upon Microsoft Access 2000.
In addition to all the information provided within this present WebPage Index the database will contain Transactions' Volume Details (Series, Volume, Publication Dates and Editors); Details of other Society Publications; Presidents and their Images; and Field-Meetings/Excursions.
Over and above the straight forward alphabetic index it will also be possible to group articles and subjects by topic, for example: Geology, Botany, Ornithology, Entomology and Archaeological or historical period - such as Neolithic, Bronze Age, Roman, Mediaeval, Recent, etc.
In the longer term a more detailed Index is also being addressed: this shall contain abstracts of each article and will eventually lead to a fully detailed alphabetic (within-article) Index.
Copies of the the Access database, upon CD-ROM, will be available during the on-going development at a price, including postage and packing, of £10.00.
