Easter
Road - the old East Terracing Following are a couple of dodgy pics I took as a seven year old at my first game at Easter Road in September 1970 (0-0 v Hearts). Taken at a nice queasy angle, this pic shows Jim Cruickshank hanging off the bar at the Dunbar end after a shot has narrowly zipped over. You can just make out the beginnings of the top tier on the far left of the picture. The gap in the crowd beneath the Holsten advert is an aisle - not any form of segregation. The crowd was about 25,000 for this match though the official capacity at the time was at least 40,000. |
