'The Spellbinder Performances'
as a 
STIMULUS
for
LITERACY WORK
leading up to, or as part of, their
OFSTED INSPECTIONS
with rewarding results.

The duration of Spellbinder Performances is 1 hour for Infants and 1 1/2 hours for Juniors

 
Our Aim
The ultimate aim of Spellbinder Performances is to ignite a passion in children for Literacy Work at all levels of ability by touching their hearts as well as their minds.
Objectives Of The Performances
  • To enhance all aspects of Literacy Development

  •  
  • To foster a love of Literature

  •  
  • To help children find Storytelling an exciting, purposeful and rewarding experience

  •  
  • To help children appreciate their personal histories and the world in which they live as a treasure trove of possibilities for oral and written expression.

  • To develop the art of Traditional Storytelling

  •  
  • To leave the children 'Spellbound' with a sense of 'Awe & Wonder' and a desire to become 'Spellbinder Apprentices'

  •  
  • To guide children toward feelings of self belief and enhanced self-esteem

  •  
  • To help foster a respect for others in a caring environment
