1. Drill-Mate has a groove cut into its flat face. Should there be a rubber seal here?
No, originally the design called for a seal but in trials it performed better without it.

2. The metal washer is removable so can I get different sizes for different hole sizes?
There is no need to use different sizes as dust does not escape between the drill and washer.

3. If  a drill breaks into a cavity and the chuck dives into the washer will it spin out of control?
No, Drill-Mate is designed not to spin. The washer may disengage for increased safety.

4. Isn't it easier to make a mess and then clean up with a vac. afterwards?
In clean areas Drill-Mate reduces dust in the air as well as preventing stained floorcoverings.

5. There isn't any need for it to be used in construction sites is there?
Marks & Spencers contractor's rules video features drillmate to reduce airborne dust.

6. Is it recommended for use on asbestos, Artex plasterwork, lead based finished surfaces and other hazards.
Yes, the asbestos service industry use it with approved vacuum extraction filter systems.

7. Why haven't we heard about Drill-mate until now?
It has only been available, until recently, to specialist users in the industrial market.

8. Will it fit onto any vacuum cleaner nozzle?
Domestic users: Drill-Mate has a "universal" inside handle socket under the end cap. You may need an adapter for different bores.
Industrial users: Drill-Mate has an outside handle dimension of 38mm so as to fit inside a standard industrial nozzle.

9. I usually drill with two hands so I won't be able to hold Drill-Mate in place.
Using a powerfull vacuum cleaner and a lightweight hose It will suck itself firmly to any smooth surface.

10. Most plaster walls are not that smooth so is there an alternative?
Masking tape may be used to fix to a wall surface. Alternatively drill two 1mm holes in the flange
surface of Drill-Mate now hang it on the wall using map pins.
