DRILL-MATE
Developed by inventor Peter Noble the
Drill-Mate is designed to help you control dust and debris produced by
drills up to 15mm. The unit can be used "free hand" or with a vacuum cleaner
and is something you might already have seen in catalogues like "Innovations".
According to Peter he has many similar practical products in the pipeline
and is looking for investors to help develop them.
A common complaint from homeowners
is the amount of dust that is created when work is being done in the home
particularily when tradesmen have to do a lot of heavy drilling.
Often this is simply a nuisance, but
can cause more permanent problems if red brick dust gets ground into light
coloured furniture.
drill-Mate offers a solution to this
problem. The tool, recently featured on this years series of the BBC's
"The Apprentice", allows the user to keep total control of the dust created
when drilling through walls, ceilings or other surfaces.
The product is also particularily
suitable when drilling through hazardous materials such as asbestos and
lead based paintwok, since the dust from these substances can prove to
be a real health hazzard.
The hand held unit can also be used
freehand, and surrounds the drilling zone completely to catch all the dust
created.
Once the job is completed, the dust
can be emptied out safely into a bin.
Drill-Mate can be used on a wide range
of different surfaces, including wood, brick, plaster, metal and plastics,
and is suitable for use with drills up to 15mm. reader enquiry number
